Race Driver: Grid is the most recent addition to the TOCA Touring Car series, which is published and developed by Codemasters.

This is the PC version, conveniently packaged with the latest update (1.3) and patched executable. No tedious extracting of RAR files.

*** Installation instructions *** 

1. Mount the image (MDS) with Daemon Tools or another image mounter of your choice,
2. Install the game (no serial number required),
3. Install the version 1.3 patch (gridpatch_1_3.exe)
4. Extract GRID.exe and rld.dll,
   - from RACE.DRIVER.GRID.V1.3.ALL.RELOADED.NOCD.zip
   - to the folder where you installed the game
5. Play!

If your computer is running the game at a low framerate, you will want to try this:

Go to your documents folder, navigate to Codemasters, GRID, hardwaresettings, and open the file "hardware_settings_config.xml".

There you will find the line: 
 postprocess enabled="true" blur="true"

Change both to false, like so: 
 postprocess enabled="false" blur="false"

Or mix and match to find a setting you like.

I installed the game and trying to execute it the following table appears:

GRID.exe System error

the program could not start because missing d3dx9_41.dll. try reinstalling the program to correct this problem

With version 1.3, i have major network problems when i play in LAN with my friends and your drift scores aren't multiplied in drift battle. -_-

With 1.2, ( Typical problems ) I can't save my first race in career mode and I can't enter drift races.

While 1.1 is too old; nobody on internet in 1.1 and missing multiplayer events.

BUT... I know that the 1.2 problems are BECAUSE of the crack so I'm asking U guys, can I burn this image on a disk and use it as a true official copy of GRID, which software should I use ( for burning ) and which kind of image ( if not this one ) should I look for ???

Game was installed correctly, and game starts.
And the first video plays, then the second vid.
But when they are done, the game continue but the screen is black.
And after a little while, the vids start over again.
And same problem happens.
Anyone got some idea what the problem can be?

@bbscorpion This can be because there is no configuration details for Windows 7 with the game. As it is a pretty old game of 2008, it wouldn't be having settings for it.

Oke.. could someone help me please? I mount the game and installed it like i used to. But when the game begins there is a good amount of lagg already in the opening screen. Further in game it gets more and more.. I already have adjusted the framerate and even changed the .XML document. (there both on false now) But even now, the game is lagging like hell.

System: Win vista 32bit, core2duo 2.0Ghz, 2Gb ram and a Geforce 8300 128Kb (overclocked).

According to the minimum system requirements i should be able to play the game..

Ok guys i got my black screen fixed, you must update your drivers, just go on youtube and search for how to update your drivers, and then reboot ur pc and it should work fine!!

Closing utorrent totally fixed it. Other people report the same on steam forums. Apparently Codemasters don't like utorrent :)

Works perfectly, no issues.
Works in wine also.

A controller is not a must but its helpful... i played this on xbox for ages and even the first time using a keyboard i was just as good. You will probably want to remap the keys to AWD (And down arrow for brake so you have more flexibility) and when exiting a corner its helpful to tap accel a few times so you dont just spin out (Since you cant feather the throttle without a pad)

Game works fine but I´v played it on X360 and it was much better. I don´t know if x360´s controler fix it. playing it on keyboard after joypad is little bit frustrating I mean... ;-)

If you're game is crashing at the start make sure you have U torrent closed, IF THIS DOESN'T WORK then disable your anti virus software.
(My anti virus was Avast and Malwarebytes anti malware)

The only fix I could find that worked 100% for this game is disabling your internet just to play. Gay, I know, but to me it's worth it. And I'm running Windows 7 64-bit. Works perfect every single time.
